Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Frankfort, Kentucky, I’ve always been deeply connected to the spirit of this region and its creative pulse. When I joined Actors Theatre of Louisville as Artistic Director in 2019, my goal was to reimagine the theatre as a Storytelling (r)Evolution—a radically welcoming home for art, learning, and belonging. I wanted to activate the theatre’s potential as a gathering space where everyone could see themselves reflected and valued.

During my tenure as Executive Artistic Director, I was fortunate enough to lead a team in deepening collaborations with local and regional artists and building partnerships with dozens of mission-aligned nonprofits, affirming the organization’s role as Kentucky’s State Theatre and expanding the exchange between rural and urban communities. Through these relationships, we amplified a shared narrative of resilience and creativity—one that continues to invigorate the region’s cultural identity and civic life today.
